Hopes for the 21st Installment of PM Kisan
The 21st installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi is awaited by millions of farmers. This installment will cover the transfer of ₹2,000 directly to the bank account of eligible farmers through DBT. Before the installment is received, it is important that you check if the particulars and documents are correct so that the payment can be received without any hassle.
About the PM-KISAN Scheme
The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana transfers ₹6,000 every year directly to the accounts of the eligible farmers in three equal installments of ₹2,000 each. The scheme seeks to meet the cash requirements of small and marginal farmers, so they can pay for seeds, fertilizers, and other farming expenses on time.
Expected To Move Into The Accounts
As reported, funds for the 21st installment are expected to credit before Diwali. Payment should be made promptly to farmers for whom e-KYC is completed, land records are verified, and bank accounts are linked to Aadhaar. Any discrepancies in the details might stop the payment so check the status beforehand.
Who Might Not Get The Money
Farmers who did not complete their e-KYC, whose land verification is not completed, or if their bank account and Aadhaar details are different, might have delayed installments. In many cases, payments may be delayed due to the land being registered in the name of their father or ancestors, as land should be registered in the name of the beneficiary.
How To Check Status Of Installments
To check the status, visit pmkisan.gov.in. Then either select “Know Your Registration Number” or “Beneficiary Status,” enter either the registered mobile number or the Aadhaar number, verify the OTP, and view the installment status in details shown on the screen. The name may also be viewed by your village/block in the beneficiary list section.
Eligibility At A Glance
Eligible farmers should own cultivable land, be Indian citizens, have Aadhaar-seeded DBT-compliant bank accounts, and have their latest land verified in state records. Urban income tax payers, non-owners engaged in contract farming, or families with government jobs are generally excluded from eligibility.
Steps To Avoid Delays
First, get e-KYC done online or at the nearest CSC centre. Verify that land records have been duly registered in your name, and your Khatauni or relevant documents are updated. Your bank account must also be active, linked to your Aadhaar, and the mobile number active for receiving an OTP for SMS alerts. Before the installation, check beneficiary status on the portal; rectify any errors immediately.
What If Name Is Missing
In case of missing names in the beneficiary list or the status showing “Payment Failed”, check the entries regarding Aadhaar, bank IFSC, and account number. If all the information is correct, approach the Gram Panchayat/Agriculture Department/CSC centre to update the records. Sometimes a simple spelling or number error can lead to the failure of DBT.
